This was my first assignment for B.G,M. I am a photographer and not much of a writer, so hopefully the photos will speak for themselves.
I have shot several concerts at Chain Reaction. It is always one of my favorite venues. It’s one of the few venues around that doesn’t have strict rules for photographers and the concert-goers, so photos from Chain Reaction are always energetic. There are very few spots to shoot from at Chain. Either you find some spot on stage, where you dodge both crowd-surfers and guitars swinging by your head, or you brave the crowd and risk your gear and your neck. Each spot has its own challenges and advantages, but for tonight’s show, I decided to shoot from a spot I haven’t shot from before. I stood on a bench at the very back of the room and shot with my 70-200mm telephoto lens. It offered an unique angle and I was pretty happy with the results.
The show opened with Forced Order then, Take Offense, Turnstile, and finished with Bane. I had only seen Bane before this show, so it was fun seeing a few new-to-me bands. Every band had a great response and put on a great show. Hope you like the photos.
