Record Review: Vinyl Theatre – Chromatic EP

Chromatic Album ArtSimply fantastic.

This Milwaukee quartet is for sure to make you feel over the moon, on top of the world and simply thrilled—hands down.

The band has released five fantastic catchy songs; infused with their own renditions of indie rock. It’s incredible how big their harmonies are; taking over the lingering silence in a room; filling every corner with precision. If you’re looking for the right album to start off the morning—here it is. Prepare yourself. These five songs are big.

The band opens up with “Breaking up My Bones,” giving off great energy. Harmonies are locked. Vocalist Keegan Calmes is sensational, as this band molds together influences from Two Door Cinema Club, The Killers, and Death Cab For Cutie; creating their own unique and distinct sound. It’s unlike any another, unparalleled.

As the EP progresses, “The Rhythm of Night” and “Take Me Home” fill ears with unsurpassed riffs, harmonies, synths, and beats that are not only intoxicating; but echo the rich creativity the band paints within their album. It’s no wonder why they’ve opened for Twenty-One Pilots, Quiet Company, and more. They bring such energy to the table and with Chromatic, one realizes the talent this band showcases to the world.

Vinyl Theatre’s Chromatic EP, is brilliantly produced; bringing out the amazing feel-good moments everyone needs. This band is on fire and it’s no secret that good things are lining up ahead for them. Check them out.
